Question:
What is the ruling of female circumcision? And would a man refuse to marry a woman for she had been circumcised?
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
It is considered something permissible and an act of honour for a female to circumcise her private parts. (Fatawa Rahimiyah p.135 v.10)
The Prophet of Allah [saw] said, “Circumcision is Sunnah for men and an honourable thing for women.” (Musnad Ahmad)
It is not correct for a man to refuse to marry a woman who has not been circumcised.
