Question:

 

My sister has a lot of waswasa in making Wudu and then I said to My dad,this is shaytan with his whispers“ and then make a little bit jokes that shaytan is not in the toilet and he says you are one hour in the toilet to poop and there is shaytan

 

He Laughs during this and I tried not to laugh  and I made faces to suppress my laughter maybe I little bit laughed.

 

Is This Kufr or shirk?

 

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

 

There is no reason I see why this could be considered shirk or kufr. It is true that jinns reside in the bathroom and therefore, spending long periods of time in the bathroom isn’t considered praiseworthy.

 

Zaid b. Arqam reported God’s messenger as saying, “These privies are peopled by jinn and devils, so when one of you goes there he should say, ‘I seek refuge in God from male and female devils.” 

 

You should encourage your sister to reduce the time she spends in the bathroom. Furthermore, if she is having waswas, she should remember that her wudū’ will not be invalidated due to doubt alone.

كنز العمال ٩/‏٣٥٨

 

٢٦٤٤٧- «إن هذه الحشوش محتضرة فإذا دخل أحدكم الخلاء فليقل: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث». «ش عن زيد بن أرقم».

٢٦٤٤٨- «إن هذه الحشوش محتضرة فإذا دخل أحدكم الغائط فليقل: أعوذ بالله من الرجس النجس الشيطان الرجيم». «طب عنه».

 

 

شرح سنن النسائي – الراجحي ٢/‏١٠ 

 

 

شرح حديث: (كان رسول الله إذا دخل الخلاء قال: اللهم إني أعوذ بك)

قال المؤلف ﵀: [القول عند دخول الخلاء.

 

أخبرنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم أخبرنا إسماعيل عن عبد العزيز بن صهيب عن أنس بن مالك ﵁ قال: (كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا دخل الخلاء قال: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث)].

وهذا رواه الشيخان، وفيه مشروعية هذا الذكر عند دخول الخلاء، يعني: عند إرادة قضاء الحاجة، سواء كان في الصحراء أو في البيت، فإذا أراد قضاء الحاجة فيقول: اللهم أني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث.

 

 

وجاء في رواية أنه يقول: (باسم الله، اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث).

وهذه الرواية ذكرها الشارح في شرح الترمذي من رواية العمري، أنه يقول: (باسم الله، اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث)، والخبث: ذكران الشياطين، والخبائث: إناثهم
