If someone is not reading Taraweeh today can they lead those performing Taraweeh with a nafl intention?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

To perform Taraweeh behind one who is praying Nafl is not valid.

It is stated in Fatawa Hindiyyah “If he prays the Taraweeh following the one who is praying Fard, Witr, or Nafl, it is more correct that it is not correct to follow it”¹
