\n\tCan you confirm if this Hadith is authentic?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t*Hazrat Abu Hurairah's (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) Reverence for Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>)*<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHazratSa'eed<\/span><\/span> bin Abi Sa'eed Al-Maqburi (<\/span><\/span>rahimahullah<\/span><\/span>) narrates the following incident:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn one occasion, we were present with Hazrat Abu Hurairah (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) when Hazrat Hasan bin 'Ali (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) came to us and greeted us with salaam. When the group heard him make salaam, they replied, after which Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) departed. However, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) was engaged in some work at that time due to which he was unaware that Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) had come and made salaam.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen someone brought it to his attention that Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) had come to the gathering, made salaam and thereafter left, he felt remorseful that he was unaware of Hazrat Hasan's (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) presence and did not reply to his salaam. He immediately left the gathering and went to look for Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) in order to reply to his salaam. When he found Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>), he replied to his salaam saying, "Wa 'alaikayaSayyidi (and may salaam be upon you, O my leader)."<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tA person <\/span><\/span>later on<\/span><\/span> asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>), "Why did you address Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) with the title 'Sayyidi' (my leader)?" Hazrat Abu Hurairah (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) replied, "The reason for me addressing him with this title is that I was once present with Rasulullah (<\/span><\/span>sallallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>alaihiwasallam<\/span><\/span>) when I heard him referring to Hazrat Hasan (<\/span><\/span>radhiyallahu<\/span><\/span> '<\/span><\/span>anhu<\/span><\/span>) saying that he is the Sayyid (leader) of this ummah."<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis hadith is authentic as mentioned by Imam Hakim An-Naysaburi the author of Mustadrak. He says: “This is a hadith with an authentic chain of narration.”[1]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
