During Umar&#39;s caliphate, people would go to the Ridhwan tree and perform prayer beside it. Upon being informed about what people were doing at the Ridhwan tree, Umar (r.a) first issued a stern warning, and then he gave the order that the tree should be cut down; and shortly thereafter, his order was carried out.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">[See: Golden Stories of Umar, page: 247 (from Ibn Sa&#8217;ad), publisher: Darussalam]<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">This indicates that things which are used for good purposes do not carry sanctity, divinity.
