\n\tAccording to Imam Abu Hanifa, property or land can be given on rent to someone regardless of the activities carried out would be haraam as opposed to the opinion of sahibayn and jamhur.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThen the issue arises regarding the actual rental income…my question is if the property is rented out to a betting shop, would you consider their income totally haraam or say they are not mukallaf thus would be permissible to not only lease to a betting shop but also take rent according to Imam saheb?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt will be best to refrain from leasing the property to a tenant whom the proprietor is certain will use the property for a haram business<\/a> particularly if there are other tenants available who will use the property for a Halal cause. Nonetheless, if the proprietor does lease the property to the tenant intending to use it as a betting shop, the money he\/she receives as rent will be permissible for him\/her to use.[1]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
