\n\tI am writing to you because I'm in a medical school in Denmark and I've reached a point where I have to start thinking about what I want to specialise in. I want to know from an Islamic point of view what speciality you find most beneficial to Muslims. A lot of Muslim choose classical field ophthalmologist cardiologists etc. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom working with Muslim and from an Islamic point of view what speciality would you recommend?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tI know there is a lack of psychiatrists within the Muslim world and I have thought about choosing psychiatry, but I want to hear your thoughts<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

    \n\t\t\tYour intention and concern of being a benefit to the Muslim community are commendable, may All\u0101h SWT reward you immensely. Our recommendation will be to choose a specialization which is best suited to your talents and passion, as this will help you reach personal excellence (i<\/em>\u1e25<\/em>s\u0101n<\/em>) in your career. It has been reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhiwasallam<\/em>has said: "Verily, Allah has enjoined excellence (ihsan)<\/em> with regard to everything. So, when you kill, kill in a good way; when you slaughter, slaughter in a good way; so every one of you should sharpen his knife, and let the slaughtered animal die comfortably." <\/strong>[Muslim]<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n
