\n\tHow can Muslims use alcohol for skin cleansing disinfection is it haram (forbidden)?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe world today quite heavily relies on beauty matters on cosmetic and other artificial products. The reality of some products can be harmful to the body in the long term. Allah has created the human beautiful as he clearly mentions in the Quran that I (have created the human in the best of ways).<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWith regards to using alcohol-based substances in cosmetics or other uses, it is clear that such products which have alcohol which is extracted from grapes or dates is impermissible as the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him mentions alcohol is from dates and grapes.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf the substance used is not extracted from the above two products then it will be permissible to use such a product such as ethanol which is fermented from sugar cane molasses.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, due to sometimes it being difficult to differentiate between genuine and synthetic alcohol one should refrain from using such products especially if an alternative can be found<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
