\n\tMy father doesn't give me money at all and as I am still in school and unmarried, only he can fulfil my needs. My mother is also financially unstable. Is it haram to steal from him to fulfil my needs? <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tI don't want men outside to entice me with money and get me into bad things. Jazakallah<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAs you know, stealing is forbidden in Islam and considered a major sin. Furthermore, stealing from one’s parents is worse as it would be undutiful towards them, which is another major sin.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tParents have a duty to provide for their children. You stated that you are young and still at school. Sometimes, it may not be clear that when your parents spend or don’t on you, it is in your best interests. You should have confidence in them. If you feel that your necessities are not being fulfilled, then you should speak to them respectfully.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf however, a parent completely refuses to fulfil the absolute necessities of a child, e.g. nourishment, then the child as a last resort may take money from the parents through means other than stealing.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
