{"id":1397,"date":"2011-08-25T01:02:48","date_gmt":"2011-08-25T01:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp\/?p=1397"},"modified":"2011-08-25T01:02:48","modified_gmt":"2011-08-25T01:02:48","slug":"what-is-the-level-of-force-in-divorce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/what-is-the-level-of-force-in-divorce\/","title":{"rendered":"What is the level of force in Divorce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tJazak allah muftisaabji for your answer below, please kindly would you elaborate on what you mean by &#39;force&#39; in this context and the level of force if any.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n\t<strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n\t<strong>Answer <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn regards to your question there are two types of force:&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n\t\tMuljee: Muljee is a situation where someone threatens a man to divorce his wife or otherwise he will kill him etc&hellip;\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tGhair Muljee: Ghair Muljee is a situation where someone threatens a man to divorce his wife or otherwise he will beat him up etc&hellip;\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"right\">\n\t(Raddul Muhtar p.177 v.9)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t(The difference is that in ghair muljee he is not threatened with his life.)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFurthermore, the jurists have added that if the individual who is being forced to divorce his wife is from a respectable background, then ghair muljee will be considered a sufficient enough force.
