\n\tI work in a gas station. The gas is mixed with a minimum 10% to 15% alcohol which is drinkable alcohol. Wine and beer has less alcohol. Is my income halal?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAbdullah ibn Masood narrates that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“Seeking of halal earnings is compulsory after the obligatory duties.”[1]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt would be advisable for you to seek means of earning which is clear in terms of halal and to abstain from doubtful income.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRegarding your question, one should try his best to avoid working in such environments where alcoholic traces are present.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Prophet (PBUH) has cursed ten things connected with alcohol and two of them are the seller and the consumer of its revenue.[2]<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t<\/a>Nevertheless, if another alternative career is not possible, then instead of unemployment one could work there until Allah opens up other avenues. One should also give a portion of his earnings to charity as a certain percentage of his income will consist of sales from alcohol traces.   <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
