\n\t\tIs it ok for <\/span><\/span>pregnant women<\/span><\/span> to take the whooping <\/span><\/span>cough<\/span><\/span> vaccine and any other vaccine during and after pregnancy?<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAlso, in <\/span><\/span>general<\/span><\/span>, should we abstain from these vaccines or not as sometimes we read and hear they are very harmful and have many side effects?<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\tGenerally speaking, it is permissible to take vaccines, or any other medication, on the condition that they do not contain any unlawful ingredients. However, if they do contain unlawful ingredients, then it would be permissible to take such vaccines subject to the following conditions:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

  1. \n\t\tHe knows that there is <\/span><\/span>a cure<\/span><\/span> in the vaccine.<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n
  2. \n\t\tThere are no alternative which contains halal <\/em>(permissible) ingredients.<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n
  3. \n\t\tA pious Muslim doctor informs him that there is <\/span><\/span>a cure<\/span><\/span> in the vaccine.[1]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
