\n\tCan any of the brothers clarify the mas'ala regarding the second Jummah being prayed in the same place as the first Jummah? Does the second Jummah have to be prayed from a different spot?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAlhamdulillah, we find that in many places in the West there are Masaajid in which two Jummuas or three are prayed in one day, and this is not due to differences amongst the people or any deviation. The reason for this is because of the huge crowds of Muslims who are guided by Allah and whose numbers are constantly increasing. Surely if all of these people could have fit in the masjid at the same time there will be no need for repetition of the jummua Salaat but because of the restriction of space, size of the crowd, traffic issues, and the work schedule of the people of the cities, the permissibility has been given to offer the same Salaat at different times in the same place. Such repetition of Salaat is usually not encouraged and is considered as Makrooh Tahreemi (highly undesirable) without a proper reason.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the case of repeating Jumuah in the same place,i.e. masjid and mihrab, it will be allowed and there is no need to perform the salaat in a different mihrab or spot where the first Imam had prayed. This is because in the shariah the jurists have stated,” Dire needs give allowance to prohibitions”[1]<\/a>. The prohibition will be lifted as long as the need remains for the hundreds or thousands of Muslims to offer their Salaat in these masjids or if the masjids are expanded or the conditions change.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
