\n\tAssalamualaikum.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tI have taken khula from my husband but my Husband wants me back. I also want to remarry him.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMy question is until what period can we remarry? Is it compulsory to marry within the iddat of 3 months? Can we remarry after my iddat?<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tKhula’<\/em> refers to the wife requesting a divorce from the husband in exchange for returning the mahr<\/em>(dowry) or some other monetary value and the husband accepting the request of khula’<\/em>. Khula’ <\/em>constitutes a talaaq baain<\/em> (one irrevocable divorce) however, if the husband intended three talaaqs<\/em>, three will apply.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tIf your husband only intended one talaaq <\/em>from the khula’ <\/em>then it is possible for both of you come together in marriage again by contracting a new agreement of marriage whether it be in the iddat<\/em> or after it. There is no need for the halalah<\/em> process to take place.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, if your husband intended three talaq from<\/i> the khula’<\/em>, three will apply and both of you can only marry again if you undergo the hawala process<\/i>.[1]<\/sup><\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe halal process<\/i> is that after the divorcee spends her iddat of divorce, she marries another person. The new marriage is then consummated. If the second husband divorces his wife or passes away, the woman then waits for her iddat to finish. Thereafter she may remarry the first husband if she wishes to.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
