Hazrat, I re-call over 20 years ago, I would spend charity money, that my Mom had trusted me to give to the mosque, but instead, I would spend It on Arcades.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This was a long time ago, and I can’t recall how much I spent. I did it in a group with two other people. My question is: is it fardh\/wajib for me to come up with a figure from the heart, and to donate it to any mosque from my own funds? <\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you were not mature at the time when your mother gave you the money for charity then you are not responsible for returning the money to the mosque. However, if you were mature then you are responsible for the amount you spent on the arcades by compensating that amount to the mosque.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you do not know the exact amount then you should form a dominant opinion and give that amount.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
