When performing salah with the congregation, can we still only perform two if we’re performing 4 fardh of Zuhur, Asar, and Isha?<\/span><\/p>\n

So, we don’t do go up in qiyam position with the Imam after the first 2 rakats, we just conclude our salah.<\/span><\/p>\n

If a traveler prays behind a non-traveler Imam in the salah time, praying behind him will be correct and he will pray the full four Rakat. (Nurul Idah, Page 141)<\/span><\/p>\n

With regards to your question, it will not be permissible to only pray two rakaat. You will follow the imam for all four rakaat.<\/span><\/p>\n
