Or should they be buried?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">There are no explicit guidelines on how to deal with dead animals, however, we can deduce from related texts that the better way would be to bury them. For example, Allah Azzawajjal tells us in the Qur\u2019an in the story of Habil and Qabil that a crow showed Qabil how to bury his dead brother: \u201cThen Allah sent a crow digging \u02f9a grave\u02fa in the ground \u02f9for a dead crow\u02fa, in order to show him how to bury the corpse of his brother. He cried, \u201cAlas! Have I \u02f9even\u02fa failed to be like this crow and bury the corpse of my brother?\u201d So he became regretful.\u201d [Maa\u2019idah: 31]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Furthermore, the erudite Hanafi scholar Ibn Abideen [r] mentions in his Raddul Muhtaar under the chapter of sacrificial animals regarding an animal that requires disposing of: \u201c\u2026 then it is considered a dog which is to be buried.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">Therefore, we can deduce that the better way of dealing with dead animals would be to bury them.
