I\u00b4m aware of the Fatwa by asking Imam there is a Fatwa that it\u2019s not allowed to fish just for sake of it&#8230;. but I wonder why still so many people (including some Ulema) doing it? Is there any other opinion in this regard?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">It is not befitting of a believer to kill a living animal just for sport and target practice. We should fear Allah and do not go fishing to catch fish for fun or sport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Allah says in Quran: Made lawful for you is the game of the sea and eating thereof, as a benefit for you and for travellers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The term used \u201cand (use) it for food as a provision\u201c. Meaning that Allah made fishing halal only if the fish is being used for food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">It is narrated from &#8216;Amr bin Sharid RA &#8220;I heard Sharid say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8216;I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Whoever kills a small bird for no reason, it will beseech Allah on the Day of Resurrection saying: O Lord, so and so killed me for no reason.
