Question:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As Salamu Alaikum, if someone accidentally (without remembering this is scented) opened a packet of scented soap and a little bit came on one of his hands, and they washed it off but that hand remains fragrant for a bit, would that require Damm or Sadaqah in the Hanafi school?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Using fragrances products in ihram is impermissible and constitutes Dam.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If he was using soap and realised it was fragranced, then he will give sadqah as he used it one time. Dam is given when the soap is used multiple times. (1).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thus, it will depend on the number of times it was used. You mentioned it only touched the skin and that too by accident, thus, sadqah will suffice.<\/span><\/p>\n
