My question is that can a jin (ghost) influence a person like to make him suffer or control him or make him sick and is magic done through jin or is it a completely different thing altogether like when the Prophet Muhammad suffered and then last 2 surahs were revealed was it through ghost<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jinn and Shaitaan can influence a person\u2019s health to the extent which Allah wishes, as it has been mentioned in a narration that the Prophet mentioned \u201cHis Ummah will be destroyed by stabbing and a plague and the prick on your enemies from the jinn and in everything is a testimony\u201d (Ahmad and Al Tabarani), and it has also been mentioned that perhaps the sickness which befell Ayyub a.s was due to the influence of a Jinn. It has also been mentioned by Ibn Taymiyah \u201cThe entry of the jinn into the human body has been proven by the consensus of the Imams of Ahlul Sunnah and Jamaah, and they can also whisper into the heart and mind of a person to influence him. As for black magic, the jinn has taught this knowledge to humankind as mentioned in the verse \u201cand the Shayateen have disbelieved by teaching people magic\u2026\u201d. The prophet had been affected by magic which was cast upon him by a Jew who had tied knots on his hair and thrown them into a well, there is no specific indication that a jinn instructed him in this regard but ultimately, the knowledge of magic was taught by the Jinns.1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
