font-size: 12pt;\">There is a number of scenarios regarding the followers (Muqtadis) standing up for the Imam to lead the congregational Salah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah ( \u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 ) the Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8216;If the Iqama is pronounced, then do not stand for the prayer till you see me (in front of you) and do it calmly&#8221;. <sup>1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Hence, if the Imam enters the Masjid from the front, then the followers will stand as soon as they see the Imam.<sup>2<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If the Imam enters the Masjid from the rear, the Muqtadis of each row will stand as the Imam passes by their row.<sup>3<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">However, it is disliked for the Muqtadis to stand prior to the Imam\u2019s arrival.<sup>4<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If the Imam is in the Masjid alongside the Muqtadis, then they can stand when the Muazzin says \u062d\u064e\u064a\u0651 \u0639\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0641\u0644\u0627\u062d.<sup>5<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Nevertheless, this does not mean that the Muqtadis should not stand before that as it will enable the straightening of the rows, which is of paramount importance in Islam, and it will also make it easy to commence the Salah immediately after the Iqamah.<sup><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The majority of the Ulama are of the view that there is no restriction to the time for standing up for the Iqamah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">However, it is Mustahab to stand when the Muazzin starts the Iqamah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Sayyiduna Anas ( \u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 ) would stand up when the Muazzin would say \u0642\u062f \u0642\u0627\u0645\u064e\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u064e\u0644\u0627\u0629 and the Imam has begun the Salah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">It has been recorded from Saeed Bin Al-Musayyib ( \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 ) and Umar Bin Abdul Aziz ( \u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 ) that it is necessary to stand up when the Muazzin says \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0625\u0643\u0628\u0631 and when the Muazzin says \u062d\u064e\u064a\u0651 \u0639\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u064e\u0644\u0627\u0629 the lines should be straightened, and when he says \u0644\u0627 \u0625\u0644\u064e\u0647 \u0625\u0644\u0651\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 the Imam should start the Salah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;
