If due to weakness in the knee, someone wears a knee brace while in the state of Ihram, will that make dam laazim?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the state of ihram, a muhrim is not allowed to wear sewn or patched clothing.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, in regards to your query, due to necessity, having to wear a brace will be deemed permissible as it is wrapping the knee and we take this ruling from Mufti Rasheed Ahmed Ludhyanwi who mentioned that wearing a langoot would be permissible for hernia patients. (1)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He ruled that there is no compensation for this and thus if the knee brace is worn due to extreme need, compensation won’t be required.<\/span><\/p>\n
