What’s the ruling of a Musafir. A person is travelling from Blackburn to London. He is staying for 15 nights. But at different Boroughs. Is he a Musafir throughout or not?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

You will become a Musafir if you leave from Blackburn to London if you travel a distance of 54 miles.<\/span><\/p>\n

And he becomes a traveller if he leaves one\u2019s city\/town, intending to walk three days and nights by riding camels and walking on foot, and he remains under the ruling on travel until he enters his city\/town, or intends to stay fifteen days in (another) city or a village. And if he intends less than that, he is a traveller, even if his stay is long (unintended to stay for more than 15 days). [Rad al Muhtar Vol 2 page 123]<\/span><\/p>\n

The distance which is given regarding one who becomes a Musafir is determined in farsakhs:<\/span><\/p>\n

A farsakh is equivalent to three miles\u2026and the amount to determine you as a Musafir is 18 farsakhs (54 miles) [Rad al Muhtar Vol 2 page 123]<\/span><\/p>\n

The distance from Blackburn to London is over 200 miles so you do become a Musafir whichever borough you are in, you are a Musafir as it\u2019s beyond the distance of 54 miles.<\/span><\/p>\n
