I heard from somewhere that Shaitan do 1% hard work to divert people from Allah during his life tenure and when the person is approaching death he will work 99% per cent. Is this true?<\/span><\/p>\n

I wanted to understand which phase of life he try to divert more from Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abul Yasar R.A. Narrated;<\/span><\/p>\n

The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) used to supplicate: “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from my house falling on me, I seek refuge in you from falling into an abyss, I seek refuge in you from drowning burning and decrepitude. I seek refuge in you from the devil harming me at the time of my death, I seek refuge in you from dying in your path while retreating, and I seek refuge in you from dying of the sting of a poisonous creature.” (1)<\/span><\/p>\n

From many verses of the Quran and Hadith, we can verify that Shaitan will always try his best to deviate people, especially during the last moments of a person’s life, that is his last hope to divert him from the straight path so he tries harder.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal\u2019s son mentioned; that when my father Imam Ahmad was in the agony of death, he was losing consciousness and was indicating no, no, so when he gained consciousness I asked him regarding it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He said Shaitan came to him and said Oh Ahmad you have escaped from my deception (to make him feel proud of himself), I kept saying not yet, not yet, until I die. (2)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When Imam Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al-Qurtubi was passing away people were saying the Kalimah Tayyibah (\u0644\u0627\u0625\u0644\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647) to him, the Imam kept on saying no, no, so when he gained consciousness it was mentioned to him regarding him saying no.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said; Two Shaitans came to me on my right and left and said forsake your religion, one of them said to die as a Jew, it\u2019ll be better for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The other one said to die as a Christian, it\u2019ll be better for you. So I kept on saying no, no to both of them. (2)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, we haven\u2019t come across any narrations which specify any percentage of effort made by Shaitan during someone\u2019s demise.<\/span><\/p>\n
