Now I can&#8217;t find them all one by one to give back there their rights. So what to do in this situation?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>In the name of <em>All\u0101h<\/em>, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The general process is that we must continue to search for them and seek their forgiveness for any wrongdoing. Whether that has been done knowingly or unknowingly. There is no need to break down in exactly which manner we have wronged the person. To do that, may cause greater harm. Rather it is simpler and normally more appropriate to apologise and ask for forgiveness in a generic manner, i.e., to say something along the lines of, \u201cplease forgive me for whatever wrong that I have done to you knowingly or unknowingly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">You can also repent for your sins by doing <em>Taubah.<\/em> There are three conditions for repenting;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Stop committing the sin;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Feel remorse for the sin which has been committed;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Make a sincere vow to never return back to the sin;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">These are the three conditions for when we have broken one of the rights of <em>All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101.<\/em> However, there is a fourth condition which comes into effect when it comes to dealing with the rights of others. In this situation, <em>All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101<\/em> does not forgive us until the one whom we have wronged also forgives us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The Messenger of <em>All\u0101h <\/em>\ufdfa said: \u201cThe atonement of backbiting a man is to ask <em>All\u0101h <\/em>to forgive him.\u201d [<em>Bulugh al-Mar\u0101m: Hadith 81<\/em>] [1]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If, after making every effort to search for those whom we have wronged and we are still unable to locate them, then we can act on the above <em>Hadith<\/em> and hope for our atonement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>All\u0101h\u2019s <\/em>Messenger \ufdfa would face directly the worst of people, thereby winning their hearts. He used to do the same with me so that I thought I was the best of the people\u2026 [<em>Sham\u0101\u2019il Muhammadiyah <\/em><em>\ufdfa<\/em><em>: Hadith 343<\/em>] [2]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The Prophet \ufdfa met the worst of peoples in the best of manners. His perfect character and traits softened their hearts and bought them towards Islam. This is a lesson for us on how to meet and treat one another.
