My question is related to my second Umrah which I performed in Makkah 2 years ago where I used a zero number machine to remove hair even though the hair was significantly less as I had done the first umrah 2-3 days earlier and shaved all the hair using the same machine.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u200cOne of my friends told me that we can use it even if we have little hair. So I did the same for 2nd umrah. After that, I checked online which mentioned that if one is \u1e24anaf\u012b then 1\/3 length is mandatory and cut is not allowed. In other fiqh<\/em> it is fine but shaving is preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200cI was very depressed and angry with myself but did not have knowledge on what to do as I had already removed I\u1e25r\u0101m sheets.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u200cI checked with many people and they said no there is no issue because the Qur\u2019\u0101n verse says either you shave or cut. The length is unspecified however shaving is better. They suggested I do an umrah and shave before \u1e24ajj. I did an Umrah again after a week and shaved before \u1e24ajj.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200cCan I take other fiqh opinions\u00a0(as in their case, length is not mandatory for trim) or should I pay dum<\/em> whenever I get the chance to? If yes, then how many dums? Is one dum okay?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u200cI am getting thought about this mistake and I am getting depressed. I had already asked for forgiveness but still, I get thoughts<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

If a male has very little hair on their head, upon completing the actions of i<\/em>\u1e25<\/em>r\u0101m<\/em>, \u1e6d<\/em>aw\u0101f<\/em> and sa\u2019\u012be,<\/em> he must shave his hair (wuj\u016bban<\/em>) to get out of the sacred state of i<\/em>\u1e25<\/em>ram<\/em> to conclude the \u2018Umrah, according to the \u1e24anaf\u012b school. In your described situation, you remained in i<\/em>\u1e25<\/em>r\u0101m<\/em> of \u2018Umrah until you shaved prior to your \u1e24ajj. Since you most likely engaged in actions contrary to i\u1e25r\u0101m requirements before\u00a0the final shave [such as wearing stitched clothing], a dumm<\/em> (animal sacrifice) is mandatory. \u2013 (See: Rad Al-Mu\u1e25t\u0101r, Vol 2, Page 5161<\/sup> and 5472<\/sup> D\u0101r Al-Fikr, Bad\u0101\u2019i Al-\u1e62an\u0101i\u2019, Vol 2, Page 140, D\u0101r Al-Kutub Al-\u2018Ilm\u012byyah3<\/sup>)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMugh\u012brah reported from Ibr\u0101h\u012bm that the pilgrim should trim at least the quantity of a fingertip (an inch).\u201d \u2013 (Mu\u1e63annaf Ibn Ab\u012b Shaybah 12917)5<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
