Question:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Does saying to someone, “Don’t worry you’ll get admission to the university” because the person is stressing out, comes under the heading of fortune telling? Thus is it shirk?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And there are many more scenarios like that. If based on someone’s behaviour, who’s a narcissist, we say to them, “No one’s gonna stay with you” we say it because of their behaviour, is this shirk?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Shirk is to associate partners with All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101, either in His being or through His attributes. To do an act of shirk is a testament to one going out of the fold of Islam.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cAllah has promised those of you who believe and do good deeds that He will certainly make them (His) vicegerents in the land, as He made those before them, and will certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and will certainly give them peace in place of fear in which they were before; (provided that) they worship Me, ascribing no partner to Me.<\/strong> And those who turn infidel after that are the transgressors.\u201d [Surah An-Nur; 24:55] [1]<\/span><\/p>\n

In your first statement, it would have been better to add \u201cIn Shaa All\u0101h\u201d to the end, meaning that if All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101 so wills then he will get admission.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Neither of your statements associating partners with All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101 thus, they will not be acts of Shirk.<\/span><\/p>\n
