Can we have animals in our homes? I mean for decorating purposes like a peacock or a horse figurine?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Having figures of animate objects such as animals in the home is Islamically detestable as it deprives the home of blessings and angelic presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad (peace and blessing be upon him<\/em>) said, \u201cAngels [of mercy] do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture [of animated beings].\u201d \u2013 (\u1e62a\u1e25\u012b\u1e25 Muslim 2106)1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJ\u0101bir narrated that the Messenger of All\u0101h (peace and blessings be upon him<\/em>) prohibited having images [of animated beings] in the house, and he prohibited making them.\u201d \u2013 (Tirmidh\u012b 1749)2<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
