Question:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After my suhur, before time fajr, I brush my teeth with toothpaste and use mouthwash for teeth and gum.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The mouthwash leaves a very strong taste in my mouth, tongue and throat, even after rinsing my mouth with water and spitting it out, the taste of the mouthwash remains.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I wanted to know if swallowing saliva with this taste in my mouth could have broken my fast and I have to make up for the fasted days in Ramadan.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I also checked my saliva to see if there was anything left (residues of food, toothpaste, or other), but I didn’t see any residue of anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The taste or residue of the food that was left in the mouth which was less than a chickpea will not break the fast even if a person swallows it. (1)<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also, a person swallowing his own saliva will not invalidate his fast.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
