All\u0101h Ta\u2019\u0101l\u0101<\/em> says, \u201cSo, eat of what All\u0101h <\/em>has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And be grateful for the favour of All\u0101h<\/em>, if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.\u201d [Surah An-Nahl; 16:114<\/em>] [1]<\/span><\/p>\n

German Doner Kebab (GDK) have published their certificate from Halal<\/em> Quality Control (HQC). [2]<\/span><\/p>\n

Information in regards to the service HQC provide can be found on their website. [3]<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They claim to have accredited partners in countries such as the Emirates, Qatar, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka etc. They also claim to have access to 53 Muslim countries so to be certified by them grants you access to those countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On face value, they do seem to be above board. However, it has been difficult to research exactly what procedures they implore to ensure that all meats are correctly slaughtered, handled, transported etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Halal industry is a multi-trillion-pound industry which is ever-growing. So, it is straightforward for fabricators to enter into the marketplace and claim their food to be Halal<\/em> mainly when foods are being exported all over the world. It becomes nigh impossible to verify the measures other Halal<\/em> bodies implore and whether they are carried out correctly or not at every stage of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

The general ruling is that if a trustworthy Muslim confirms that the food is Halal<\/em> then it is sufficient to take their word for it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The secondary matter is more of a Taqw\u0101<\/em> issue. If you are not absolutely certain that the food is Halal<\/em> then you can avoid them and eat from shops whose meat is locally sourced and certified by reliable national bodies such as HMC.<\/span><\/p>\n
