In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Before classifying anything as permissible or impermissible, we need to look at what its functions are and what the aim of such an item is.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Photoshop is a photo editing and manipulation software. Its uses range from the full-featured editing of large batches of photos to creating intricate digital paintings and drawings that mimic those done by hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Photoshop can be found in the advertisements to magazines as we are endlessly surrounded by unrealistic images.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is because we live in such a society that promotes a flawless physique and features as the \u201cnorm\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira ( \u0631\u0636\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 ) reported that the Messenger (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) of Allah (\u0639\u0632 \u0648 \u062c\u0644) said,<\/span><\/p>\n

The usage of technology is dependent on its usage.<\/span><\/p>\n

If it is used in line with the Shariah, then it will be permissible2<\/sup>. However, if it is used in a haram method or cause such as to completely distort a person\u2019s body into something it is not, then it will be impermissible.<\/span><\/p>\n
