According to Shariah Law, how should one clean a cracked (and therefore coarse) phone screen if a small amount of impurity went onto it and is now dry? I heard that wiping it clean only applies to smooth surfaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wiping to remove impurity generally applies to smooth surfaces such as glass, swords and mirrors. The phone screen would also fall into this category if no cracks had appeared. 1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, since the cracks are usually very fine, any visible impurity may be removed by carefully wiping around the cracks with a dry or damp cloth and then allowing the screen to dry. Any liquid residue within the cracks may be dabbed with cotton wool or the likes to absorb the wetness. If any dry residue remains, then this can be carefully scraped off. Thereafter, any remaining traces after every precaution has been taken does not harm. 2<\/sup> 3<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
