Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I never used that word in conversation with him. He didn’t understand what I meant by it and asked instantly, “What does “one happened” mean?\u201d(In Urdu, he said ek ho gaye, matlab?) <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Actually, he wanted to know what I meant by saying \u201cone happened.” I became stunned and got another waswasa as he repeated my words, but I know he was just asking a question regarding my means. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Later, he assured me once again he had never said anything that could affect our marriage. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But I want to know if anything happened because of this question. He was not aware at that time what was on my mind. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please guide me regarding this query, and please also guide me on how I will overcome this waswasa problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In your scenario, it seems as though you said something that could imply talaq if it were uttered by a man. Then your husband simply asked you what your statement means by repeating the statement and asking its meaning.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is quite evident that his words do not constitute talaq. He did not have any intention of giving you talaq through his repeating of your statement. He simply wanted to know what you meant by your statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So based on this, talaq did not occur as he was simply asking you the meaning of your words without any intention to give talaq.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Also, whenever Shaytan whispers doubts into your mind, seek refuge with Allah by reciting:<\/span><\/p>\n

Thereafter, keep your mind busy by contemplating and pondering over the Glorious Quran and its beautiful verses. The Quran is a cure for illnesses such as excessive whispers from the Shaytan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finally, keep yourself busy in the remembrance of Allah and ponder over his greatness. Keeping your mind busy with these noble acts should drive away the whispers of the Shaytan. Try not to keep your mind idle, because that will invite the whispers of Shaytan. Regarding this, Allah Ta’ala says in the holy Qur’an:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
