As Salam Alaikum! \u00a0If I offer a Sunnah Ratibah and I wait for the Iqamah to offer a Fard prayer and I have some talk between them with my brothers. Is the reward diminished for my Sunnah Ratibah?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, \u201cWhoever perseveres in performing twelve cycles of prayer from the Sunnah, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise. They are four cycles before noon prayer and two after it, two cycles after sunset prayer, two cycles after evening prayer, and two cycles before dawn prayer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The reward is not diminished from speaking in between the sunnah rattib and fardh prayer. It would be preferable and better to engage in remembrance of Allah consciously during the period between sunnah prayers and fardh prayers. Waiting in anticipation for the iqaamah after the sunnah prayers is a praiseworthy act and as long as you are waiting for the prayer to begin, it will be like you are waiting in the state of prayer. There are prayers from the optional prayers wherein it was a practice of the Prophet PBUH to perform them at home and then set off to offer the obligatory prayers in congregation at the masjid. Enacting this would be a great means of reward and gaining the pleasure of Allah.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this scenario, your reward is not diminished from your sunnah Raatibah for speaking before the Iqaamah, even though it would be better to observe silence leading up to iqaamah point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
