Assalamu Alaikum sheikh, please tell me with regards to a lamb that is less than a year old but is more than 6 months old, a person can make Qurbani with such an animal. But my question is, are there any extra conditions that are attached to it for the validity of such lamb for Qurbani?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For a qurbani to be accepted, it has to be in line with Shariah. The age of the animal should be correct. When it comes to goats and sheep, it must be a full year and enter the second year.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, there is a concession only for sheep, where the Jurists mention that it can be less than a year but has passed most of the year (i.e. 6 months).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One point that should be understood is that the Jurists also mention a condition to it. The sheep should be fat and plump and seen to be like a year old.<\/span><\/p>\n
