\n<\/span>I would like to know the different types of Sunnah Utoor.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I need as much detail and references as possible, if there is a mixture of a few different types, please mention the name of the mix as well as what is inside the mix a<\/span>nd if possible each scent to be described.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophet Muhammad greatly appreciated fine scents, and the use of perfume is encouraged within Islamic teachings:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah <\/b>\ufdfa<\/span>, said,<\/b> \u201c<\/span>Verily, Allah has made this day of Friday a celebration for the Muslims. Whoever comes to the Friday prayer, let him bathe himself, apply perfume if he has it, and use the tooth stick<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thus, in Islamic tradition, the use of <\/span>ittar<\/span><\/i> (also known as attar or perfume oils derived from natural sources) is highly regarded, especially because scents were highly regarded by our Prophet Muhammad <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span>. Some commonly recognised fragrances based on prophetic narrations are:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Musk (Misk)<\/b> \u2013 According to our Prophet Muhammad, musk is one of the best perfumes available. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ambergris (\u2018Anbar)<\/b> – Though modern usage differs due to preservation concerns, ambergris was traditionally appreciated for its distinctive fragrance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali (ra), who said: \u201cI asked Aishah (ra): Did the Messenger of Allah <\/span><\/i>\ufdfa<\/span>, use perfume? She said: \u2018Yes, the perfumes used by men: Musk and ambergris.\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rose (Ward)<\/b> – Extracted from roses, is a popular scent and often associated with spiritual practices in Islam.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oud (Agarwood)<\/b> – Oud is highly valued in Islamic cultures for its rich and unique smell. It’s derived from the resinous wood of the agarwood tree.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Saffron (Za’faran)<\/b> – Occasionally used in perfumery, though more commonly recognised as a spice, has been noted for its fragrance and can be used in the traditional sense.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sandalwood (Sandal)<\/b> – Known for its soft, warm, and woody scent, has been used in Islamic traditions for centuries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

These scents are admired for their purity and are believed to be some of the fragrances that were used by our Prophet Muhammad <\/span>\ufdfa<\/span>, making them greatly appreciated in Islamic culture. Followers of the Sunnah often use scents among these for personal and religious ceremonials to follow Sunnah practices.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You may also look to the production of traditional fragrances by Muslim businesses. Sunnah Musk is currently a popular provider of sunnah fragrances. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
