Can mosque funds (which were donated in a mosque fund box or something similar) be used to purchase food and then resell to people at programs at the masjid ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The various donations given to the Masjid are a trust (amanah), and hence should be disposed of with this in mind. With that said, it is permissible for the Masjid committee to use miscallaenous<\/strong> Masjid donations to purchase food and then resell at programs in the Masjid.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The money donated becomes the ownership of the Masjid, thus, the Masjid committee may dispose of it according to how they deem it to be most beneficial for the Masjid.<\/span><\/p>\n
