Question:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In drop shipping, if the drop shipper pays the supplier for postage, and the shipping label is made in the drop shippers name, and if a parcel is lost, its the drop shippers loss and not the suppliers, then it should be okay right?<\/span><\/p>\n

It should be noted that the conventional drop shipping system is not Shariah-compliant.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, in this case, it appears to be permissible and resembles a Bay\u02bf al-Salam (forward sale). Therefore, the following conditions must be observed for it to remain Shariah-compliant:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The type (genus) of the item is known.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The category (kind) is known.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The description is clearly specified.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The quantity is known.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The delivery time is specified.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The price is known at the time of contract.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. The place of delivery is designated, particularly when transport and delivery are the seller\u2019s responsibility.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As for liability, if the goods are not delivered to the buyer, the seller will bear the liability.<\/span><\/p>\n
