If an imam goes into qa’idah akh\u012brah, waits a few seconds and then says the takb\u012br (the one that should have been said to go into qa’idah akh\u012brah), would that constitute delaying a wajib?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Leaving out the takbir’s of transition, or delaying them, does not invalidate the Salah. It is not considered delaying a w\u0101jib, because the followers are aware of the Imam’s physical movements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If the Imam moves into a posture on time then it will not be regarded as delaying a wajib even if the takbir was said a bit late, the takbeers of transition are sunnah not w\u0101jib. As long as the people are aware of the Imam\u2019s movement, the Salah is valid and there\u2019s nothing wrong. Such a Salah will not need to be repeated nor would Sajdah Sawhu be compulsory.<\/span><\/p>\n
