{"id":77,"date":"2011-08-14T17:53:54","date_gmt":"2011-08-14T17:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wordpress\/?p=77"},"modified":"2011-08-14T17:53:54","modified_gmt":"2011-08-14T17:53:54","slug":"a-doubt-and-its-answer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/a-doubt-and-its-answer\/","title":{"rendered":"A doubt and its answer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"color: #333333; font-weight: 300;\">There are many places in the Holy Quran where Allah (SWA) has mentioned that creating the earth, skies and creation took six days.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>\u201cAnd we created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them in six days, and no weariness even touched us.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0(Surah Qaaf v.35)<\/p>\n<p>However, from verses 9-12 of Surah Ha Mim As-Sajdah it seems as though the world was created in eight days if you were to count the days mentioned in sequence.<\/p>\n<p>It is stated first that the creation of the earth took place in two days:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe One who has created the earth in two days.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0(Surah Ha Mim As-Sajdah v.9)<\/p>\n<p>Then it is stated separately:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has placed firm mountains in it (the earth) towering above it, and put blessings in it, and proportioned its food therein, in four days.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0(Surah Ha Mim As-Sajdah v.10)<\/p>\n<p>According to the consensus of the mufasireen the four days mentioned in this verse are inclusive of the first two days mentioned in verse 9, if not the total period of creating would become eight days, which is against the explicit statement of the Quran.<\/p>\n<p>Only Allah (SWA) knows Best why \u2018four days\u2019 was mentioned, but maybe the Holy Quran is indicating the four days were not continuous, but in two parts: two days before the creation of skies and two days after it.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0(Maariful Quran p.639 \u2013 p.640 v.7)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Only Allah Knows Best<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Tosir Miah<\/p>\n<p>Darul Ifta Birmingham<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
