\n\tQuestion:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Ruling on Talqeen of the deceased<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswer:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Bismillah\"<\/a><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTalqeen is the act of encouraging the person who is nearing his death to recite the Kalimah.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe issue which we need to cover here is whether this Talqeen should be done at the grave after burying the deceased.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hanafis are of the view that Talqeen should not be done, however, Imam Haskafi \"ra\u1e25imahull\u0101h is of the view that if someone does it then he should not be prevented. (Raddul Muhtar p.81 v.3)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe majority of the Shafi scholars say it is desirable. (Fathul Mulhim p.466 v.2) Imam Nawawi \"ra\u1e25imahull\u0101h is also of the view that it is permissible. (Sharhul Muhazzab p.272 v.5)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe upshot of all the various opinions are that Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Uthmani \"ra\u1e25imahull\u0101h is of the view that technically it is permissible to do the Talqeen after Salah. However, he goes on to say that as it has now become the practice of Shias and Rawafidh to do the Talqeen, hence, not to imitate them we should not do it. Conversely, where this danger of imitating the Shias and Rawafidh is not there, then it will be permissible. (Ilaus Sunan p.174 v.8)    <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
