{"id":811,"date":"2011-08-21T10:41:34","date_gmt":"2011-08-21T10:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/wp\/?p=811"},"modified":"2011-08-21T10:41:34","modified_gmt":"2011-08-21T10:41:34","slug":"fasting-on-eid-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/daruliftabirmingham.co.uk\/home\/fasting-on-eid-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Fasting on Eid days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fasting on Eid days<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. <\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Answer <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Saaiduna Abu Hurairah Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam forbade fasting on two days, the day of Fitr and the day of Adha. \u00a0(Muwatta Malik p.241)<\/p>\n<p>It is unlawful to fast on Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha.\u00a0 A fast begun on those days does not become wajib.\u00a0 However, if someone makes a vow to observe fasting on those days, he will have to break it and do qadha of it later.\u00a0 If he continues with the fast he will be doing wrong but the vow will be fulfilled and he will not have to do qadha.
