Question:
Assalamualaikum W V,
I hope you’re well.
I have a question regarding performing Haqiqa for my daughter.
She was born in 2018, and I performed her Haqiqa during Eid-ul-Adha either in 2018 or 2019.
The Haqiqa was done with a Qurbani portion at a madrasa in Kolkata, India, where a Muallana came to our area.
Some people in our mohalla knew him, but we did not know him personally.
Now, I am wondering if it is possible to perform Haqiqa again for her.

Answer:
Thank you for your question, we hope you are well as well. Mashallah may Allah grant you the best daughter and allow her to grow up to maturity in righteousness and goodness.
As for your question, relating to Aqiqa using a Qurbani, it is allowed as long as it is a separate portion of the Qurbani, it shouldn’t be combined as Qurbani is wajib and Aqiqa is sunnah.
Relating to redoing the Aqiqa, it is also allowed to redo the Aqiqa intending to get close to Allah (SWT) thanking him for his blessings [1].
