Question:
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
A person leaves Mina on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah for Makkah/Aziziyyah, where they spend the night. As such, ramy would not be wajib on them on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
Despite not being wajib, would it remain a valid act of worship though? Say if they decide to return just to pelt on the 13th.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
If a person leaves Mina before sunset on the 12th Zhul Hijjah, then they are not required to do Rami on the 13th Zhul Hijjah.
If the person is in Mina until after sunset on the 12th, then it will be Makrooh for them to leave Mina before performing Rami on the 13th of Zhul Hijjah.
However, if the person left Mina before sunset on the 12th and returned on the 13th only to do Rami, this will remain a valid act of worship but not wajib [1].
Only Allah ﷻ knows best.
