Question:
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
Hope you are well. I am writing for a clarification. I am going to have a surgery on 9th of next month. The surgeon is going to place a catheter for urination and I will not have any control on my urination. In other words, I will always remain impure, until it is removed. Under these circumstances, how should I perform my prayers. Also please pray for me to have a safe surgery Insha’Allah.

Answer:
First of all, we are well alhamdullilah and hope you are well too. We welcome your question.
As for your question, as this will be out of your control, you will be considered as one with a legitimate excuse (‘uthr). In such cases you should follow their rules which involves [1]:
Initially, you must wait an entire complete prayer time with the excuse and then at the end of the time when there is just enough time to do wudu and pray, pray.
Thereafter, your excuse is established, so if it exists even once in the prayer time you can pray regardless of whether the urine is draining or not. One needs to redo wudu for each prayer time.
Once an entire prayer time passes without the excuse (after the catheter is taken out) you are no longer considered excused and must pray normally.
Other practical advice given in such a circumstance is to try to empty the bag before each prayer, trying one’s best to pray in the way they can.
Thus, in such circumstances one will be considered excused inshallah.
Only Allah ﷻ knows best.
