Question:
Is the courtyard of Masjid Nabawi considered as part of the Shari Masjid?
Someone asked a question about entering it while menstruating.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
The tiled outdoor area outside the doors of Masjid-Nabawi is not part of the Shar’i Masjid. This area is the courtyard and a female may enter this area while she is menstruating. [1]
Accordingly, it is allowed for the woman in menstruation or post-childbirth bleeding to stay therein and make Dhikr (remembrance of Allah Ta’ala), Dua, etc.
