Question:
The wives of the Prophet of Allah [saw] being purified by Allah [swt]
Answer:
Saaiduna Zaid Bin Arqam [ranhu] narrates that the Prophet of Allah [saw] delivered a sermon in which he said … I leave with you two weighty things- the first is the Book of Allah in which there is guidance and nuur, therefore, hold steadfast to the book of Allah… and my family- I remind you of Allah regarding my family, I remind you of Allah regarding my family.” (At-Taleeq us Sabih Sharah Mishkaat p.385 v.7)
The wives of the Prophet of Allah [saw] are included in the Ahle Bait. Allah [swt] says in the Holy Qur’an:
“Allah only wishes to remove uncleanliness from you O Ahle Bait, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.” (Surah Ahzaab v.53)
With regards to your question, the virtues of the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalams wives being from the Ahle Bait and being purified by Allah [swt] is restricted only to the wives of the Prophet of Allah [saw]. This virtue does not apply to the wives of any other men even though his lineage may trace back to the Prophet of Allah [saw].
