Question:

Why is it forbidden to perform sajdah after Fajr and Asr Salah?

Answer:

In The Name Of Allah, The Most-Merciful, The Most Kind

Unfortunately, it is not clear what is it meant by “performing Sajdah”.

If it is meant“sajdah tilawa”, then there is no harm to perform sajdah tilawa after Fajr and Asr Salaah. (al Hidaya 1/155 Maktabatul Busra)

If it is meant “praying nafl salah” after Fajr and Asr, then the prohibition is because of the hadith of Prophet (s.a.w.) which is mentioned in Sahih Buhari. (al Hidaye 1/55 Maktabatul Busra)

Its narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar that: the prophet s.a.w prohibited to pray after fajr until the sun rises. And after asr, till the sunsets. (Babu Salati Badal Fajr Hatta Tartafiu Shams  581 Sahih Bukhari).
