Is tying your hair back as a Muslim male haram?

Answer
Wa Alaikum Salam,
According to numerous hadith, it is permissible for a male to have his hair in a ponytail or tied, especially in the case that it provides neatness. However, it is important to note that the tie cannot be womanly like.[1]
