Is the fast valid if you go for a blood transfusion?

Answer:
A blood transfusion is when you're given blood from someone else. A blood transfusion may be needed because the body is not making enough red blood cells or because you have lost blood.[1]
Fasting will become invalid if anything is inserted through a normal opening such as the mouth, nose or private parts and it reaches the stomach or the brain.[2]
When blood transfusion is performed and the blood of a donor enters into the body of a fasting person the above conditions which invalidate the fasting are not met, i.e. the blood does not reach the stomach or brain and also the blood does not enter through a normal opening, therefore the fasting would remain intact and valid.
